The Spanish broadcaster has announced that the voting for the Eurovision 2021 song selection that will determine Blas Cantó's ESC 2021 entry will open on February 10.
TVE has announced yesterday morning through a brief announcement broadcast on La1 that next Wednesday, February 10, will commence the voting period for the two songs running as potential Eurovision entries for Blas Cantó. The Spanish hopeful comfirmed the fact from his part, through Twitter.
“The first song is very catchy, I think it sticks in the memory. The second is an incredible song, it breathes a lot of sensitivity and strength at the same time ”, are the words used by the Spanish representative to describe the two candidate songs for Eurovision 2021. This statement indicates that the two candidate songs are different from each other and that they showcase styles that Blas has played throughout his musical career.
The Spanish representative has also revealed that he had recorded about ten songs some of which displayed a more 'radio formula" without showing competitve for the contest. "We chose these two because they fulfilled everything we expected from me at the contest and also about the production and staging of both", he says.
Previously the Spanish broadcaster had confirmed that it will be holding a song selection to determine Blas Cantό's Eurovision 2021 entry. TVE decided this year to pass the song selection to the public opinion, as it will be airing a special show during which two songs will compete and the outcome will be determined exclusively by the audience. The audience will be able to cast their vote choosing one of the two songs through RTVE’s official website, RTVE’s official App, telephone voting and SMS voting.
