Spain: TVE announces Tony Aguilar and Julia Varela as the Eurovision 2021 commentators
Thursday, 29 April 2021

  • The Spanish national broadcaster, TVE, has announced that Tony Aguilar and Julia Varela will be the Spanish commentators for Eurovision 2021.

Tony Aguilar  and  Julia Varela  form a luxury tandem to comment on  Eurovision 2021 . Communicators join their voices again to narrate a 65th edition of the European contest from  Rotterdam . Despite the situation caused by the  pandemic coronavirus , TVE commentators will come  on site  to the host city with the Spanish delegation, represented on stage by  Blas Cantó . They will share the booth with the person who knows the most about the festival in Spain,  Víctor Escudero.

The two of them of course are no strangers to the competition. It is the third year that Tony and Julia will be broadcasting the biggest musical show in Europe together. For the radio host it will be his third festival. From her part, the RNE journalist will face her sixth edition of the contest. Last February, they co-presented  Destino Eurovisión ,  the show through which the public chose  "Voy a Quedarme"  as the Spanish entry for 2021.

The Spanish hopful, Blas Cantό, as a representative of a Big 5 country will perform "Voy a Quedarme" directly in the grand final on May, 22, 2021.
