Sweden: The four Melodifestivalen 2021 Second Chance qualifiers; Grand final line up completed!

  • Following last week’s 4th semi final the Second Chance semi final round took place today completing the grand final line up of Melodifestivalen 2021.

    A total of 8 contestants had a second chance to qualify to the final show that is set to take place on March 13 in Stockholm.  The 2nd chance semi final took place  and the 8 acts competed in duels . The winner of each duel qualified to the final, determining the last 4 spots of the final.

    Host of the show were once again Christer Björkan alongside with  Shirley Clamp (Melodifestivalen contestant in past editions), while the show was held in Annexet Arena, the place that hosted the Eurovision 2016 press center.

     The duels that we saw tonight were :

    Duel 1

    Alvaro Estrella - "Baila Baila" (WINNER)  VS   Lillasyster – “Pretender”

     

    Duel 2 

    Frida Green – “The Silence”  VS  Paul Rey – “The Missing Piece” (WINNER)

    Duel 3 

    Eva Rydberg & Ewa Roos – “Rena rama ding dong”  VS  Clara Klingenström – “Behöver inte dig idag”(WINNER)

     

    Duel 4

    Klara Hammarström – “Beat of Broken Hearts”  (WINNER)  VS  Efraim Leo – “Best of Me”

     

    Therefore the four acts that won ticket to the final filling in the last 4 spots in the final line up are : 

    •  Alvaro Estrella - "Baila Baila" 
    •  Paul Rey – “The Missing Piece” 
    • Clara Klingenström – “Behöver inte dig idag”
    • Klara Hammarström – “Beat of Broken Hearts” 

     

    Thus the Melodifestivalen 2021 grand final line up is completes and see the following 12 competing acts:
