  • Melodifetivalen 2022 kicked off this evening with the first semi-final of the Swedish national selection,  determining the first  two finalists and  two spots of the 5th semi final (second chance). 

    The show took place at in Stockholm, at Avicii Arena, whilef the show was hosted  by Oscar Zia. “Melodifestivalen 2022” consists of 5 semi-final rounds and the grand final to be held on March 13. A total of 28 acts is taking part in this year’s edition, with first set of 7 acts competed in this evening's first semi-final. 

     

     

    In this first heat at the Avicii Arena in Stockholm we saw the following 7 acts: 

     

    1. Malou Prytz – “Bananas”

    2. Theoz – “Som du vill”

    3. Shirley Clamp – “Let There Be Angels”

    4. Omar Rudberg – “Moving Like That”

    6.Cornelia Jakobs – “Hold Me Closer”

    7. Robin Bengtsson – “Innocent Love”

    The Results

    The two acts that made it to the Grand final directly are: 

    1.  Cornelia Jakobs – “Hold Me Closer”
    2. Robin Bengtsson – “Innocent Love”

    The two acts that qualified to the 5th semi-final where they will have a second chance to compete for a spot in the final are: 

    1. Theoz – “Som du vill”
    2.  Danne Stråhed –“Hallabaloo”

    The show also featured Eric Saade performing a medley of his past Melodifestivalen entries. 

    Melodifestivalen 2022 continues next Saturday with one more set of 7 acts competing in the 2nd semi final show.
