Sweden: Melodifestivalen 2023 Fourth Semi-Final results

Melodifestivalen 2023 progressed this evening to the fourth semi-final of the Swedish national selection, determining two more finalists and two more spots of the 5th semi final (second chance).
The show took place at in Malmö, while the show was hosted by Farah Abadi and Jesper Rönndahl . “Melodifestivalen 2023” consists of 5 semi-final rounds and the grand final to be held on March 11. A total of 28 acts is taking part in this year’s edition, from which the fourth set of 7 acts competed in this evening's fourth semi-final.
In this fourth heat in Malmö we saw the following 7 competing acts:
Kiana – “Where Did You Go”
Signe and Hjördis – “Edelweiss”
Smash Into Pieces – “Six Feet Under”
Mariette – “One Day”
Emil Henrohn – “Mera mera mera” (More more more)
Axel Schylström – “Gorgeous”
Loreen – “Tattoo”
The show featured Eurovision 1991 winner and Sweden's ESC 1983 (3rd place) and 2006 act (5th place), Carola , who delivered on stage her past Eurovision entries.
The Results
As in the first heat the result was determined through two rounds of votings. In the first round all competing acts were voted with the one topping the scoreboard securing a spot directly in the Grand final on March 11. In this round Loreen came first booking their place in the Grand final.
In the second round of voting the remaining six acts went into another round of public voting, the votes of which were presented in age groups. The act topping this voting went straight to the final while the second and third advanced to the 5th semi-final heat ( former second chance round) on March 4.

Thus the two acts that made it to the Grand final directly are:
- Smash Into Pieces – “Six Feet Under”
- Loreen – “Tattoo”
The two acts that qualified to the 5th semi-final where they will have a second chance to compete for a spot in the final are:
- Kiana – “Where Did You Go”
- Mariette – “One Day”
Melodifestivalen 2023 goes on next Saturday February 25 with the 5th semi-final heat (second chance) live from Örnsköldsvik.
