Sweden: Tonight the third semi final show of Melodifestivalen 2021

The Swedish national selection for Eurovision 2021 continues tonight at 20:00 CET with the third semi final show of Melodifestivalen 2021.
The third semi final of Melodifestivalen 2021 is set to hit our screens tonight live from Stockholm, while hosts of the event will be Christer Bjorkman alongside with Jason Diakité (rapper). In this evening’s 3rd semi final we will see 7 more acts compete for the two spots that lead directy to the final and two more to the second chance round.
The seven entries that will take the stage tonight are:
- Charlotte Perrelli – “Still Young”
- Emil Assergård – “Om allting skiter sig”
- Klara Hammarström – “Beat of Broken Hearts”
- Mustasch – “Contagious”
- Elisa – “Den du är”
- Alvaro Estrella – “Baila Baila”
- Tusse – “Voices”
The voting process incudes two rounds, both in which only the public votes determine the result. In the first round the five acts with the most votes qualify to a second round of public voting. The first two acts in this second round of votes qualify directly to the Grand final on March 13 while the 3rd and 4th will compete in the second chance round set for March 6, 2021.
A few words for the 7 contestants
Anna Jenny Charlotte Perrelli was the winner of the 1999 Melodifestivalen and subsequently that year's Eurovision Song Contest with the song "Take Me to Your Heaven." Since then she has released seven albums and multiple singles. Perrelli once again won Melodifestivalen 2008 and represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008 with her song "Hero" finishing in 18th place. She participated in Melodifestivalen 2012 with the entry "The Girl" by Fredrik Kempe but failed in that edition to qualify to the final coming fifth.“Still Young” was written by “Thomas G:son, Bobby Ljunggren, Erik Bernholm, Charlie Gustavsson”.
Emil Assergård has released three studio albums, with the first being Rakt från hjärtat, which was released in 2013. His second album was released in 2015, called Den Ensamma Känslan. His most recent album was released in 2019, which is called Leva Livet / En samling and it debuted and peaked at number five on the Swedish Album Chart and was subsequently certified Platinum in Sweden. . In 2019 he was nominated for the "Male live performer of the year" Rockbjörnen award. “Om allting skiter sig” was written by Emil Assergård, Jimmy Jansson, Jimmy ”Joker” Thörnfeldt, Anderz Wrethov, Johanna Wrethov.
Klara Lovisa Hammarström was born 20 April 2000 in Stockholm. She has along with her family appeared in the SVT series Familjen Hammarström. She has been a competitive horse rider. She competed in Melodifestivalen 2020 with the song "Nobody".a ballad signed by Fredrik Kempe, Andreas Wijk and David Kreuger. In May 2020, she collaborates on the title The One with Mohombi. Her debut single “You Should Know Me Better” topped the Swedish radio list last winter.
Mustasch is a heavy metal band from Sweden. They were formed in the fall of 1998 by Ralf Gyllenhammar, Hannes Hansson, Mats Hansson, and Stam Johansson in Gothenburg. They chose the name Mustasch because many of their musical heroes had moustaches; such as Freddie Mercury from Queen and Tony Iommi from Black Sabbath.In 2001 they released their first EP The True Sound of the New West. The band went on to release Above All in 2002 and Ratsafari in 2003, both of which were nominated for Swedish Grammies. After several singles and EPs in November 2011 the band made the song "The Challenger", which became a hit while on 22 December 2015, Mustasch announced Robban Bäck would become a full-time member.
Eva Elisa Lindström is currently the lead singer for the dansband, Elisa's. As part of the music group Lali, she participated in Lilla Melodifestivalen in 2005, where their song titled "Du får ta mitt hjärta" (You can take my heart) finished in sixth place overall. She won SVT's show Dansbandskampen in 2010(meaning"Battle of the Dancebands") and in 2013, Lindström won the choir singing competition show Körslaget (meaning "Clash of the Choirs"). She participated in Melodifestivalen 2014 with her entry "Casanova"She participated in Let's Dance 2016 which was broadcast on TV4, she won the final against Bianca Wahlgren Ingrosso. She co-wrote her entry alongside Bobby Ljunggren, Ingela Pling Forsman.
Alvaro Raul Estrella Zapata is a Swedish singer and dancer with Chilean origin who has participated twice in Melodifestivalen.In 2014 he competed with the song "Bedroom" written by Jakke Erixson, Jon Bordon, Loren Francis, Kristofer Östergren. He sang in the first semi-final in Malmö but he didn't pass to the final, taking the 6th place. Estrella has also appeared as dancer for many years in the Melodifestivalen contest including for singer Danny Saucedo in Saucedo's song "Amazing" in 2012.He participated in Melodifestivalen 2020 with the song "Vamos Amigos" along with Mendez. The song reached the final through the Second Chance round and ended up in eleventh place, scoring a total of 40 points.
Tousin "Tusse" Chiza is a Congolese-Swedish singer. He was a finalist in Swedish Idol 2019, broadcast on TV4, alongside Freddie Liljegren, and was ultimately declared the winner in the final. Chiza was born in Congo-Kinshasa. As of 4 May 2020, he has released three singles, two of them from his participation in Idol: a cover of "How Will I Know" on 22 November 2019 as a Top 12 contestant and, as a finalist, his version of the season's winning song, "Rain", on 3 December 2019. As a result of his victory, he got to release his debut single as a CD single as well as on the iTunes Store. His third single is called "Innan du går".His Melfest song is written by written by Joy and Linnea Deb, Jimmy “Joker” Thörnfeldt and Anders Wrethov.
