Sweden: Watch tonight the Melodifestivalen 2021 Grand Final

  • After 4 qualifying semi final heats and a second chance round, the Swedish national selection concludes tonight at 20:00 CET with the Melodifestivalen 2021 Grand Final show that will determine Sweden's Eurovision 2021 hopeful.

    The Melfest final  will take place in Stockhlom, at the Annexet venue, the place where the ESC 2016 press center was located.  Christer Björkan along with Måns Zelmerlöw (Eurovision 2015 winner with the song “Heroes”) & Shima Niavarani (singer and actress) will be responsible for presenting us this evening's show. 

    In the previous qualifying semi finals we saw a total of 28 acts compete. Seven acts in each semi final , from which the top 2 qualified directly to the final, whilst the third and fourth in votes to the second chance round. In the second chance round 8 acts took the stage performing in 4 Duels with the  winner in votes from each duel qualifying to the final show.

    Therefore the grand final line up sees 12 contestants who will compete in tonight’s final show taking the stage according to the following running order: 

    1. Danny Saucedo – Dandi dansa
    2. Klara Hammarström – Beat Of Broken Hearts
    3. Anton Ewald - New Religion
    4. The Mamas – In The Middle
    5. Paul Rey – The Missing Piece
    6. Charlotte Perrelli – Still Young
    7. Tusse – Voices
    8. Alvaro Estrella – Baila Baila
    9. Clara Klingenström – Behöver inte dig idag
    10. Eric Saade – Every Minute
    11. Dotter – Little Tot
    12. Arvingarna -Tänker inte alls gå hem      

    The result will be influenced 50% by the viewers and the other 50% by the votes of the international juries, each one of which  will have a set of points to award similar to the Eurovision scale. The juries will be coming from the following countries: 

    1. Albania
    2. Cyprus
    3. France
    4. United Kingdom
    5. Iceland
    6. Israel
    7. The Netherlands
    8. Switzerland

    The winner of Melodifestivalen 2021 will represent Sweden at the Eurovision Song Contest set to take place in Rotterdam next May.
