Tonight Live From Malmö: The Eurovision 2024 First Semi-Final Show

The Eurovision week is progressing to the Semi Final 1 Live Show taking place this evening at Malmo Arena in Malmo, Sweden at 21:00 CEST.
As Eurovision week is unwinding , following last evening's Jury rehearsal show for the Semi Final 1 competing acts, tonight the Semi-final 1 LIve show will take place in Malmo Arena in Malmo, Sweden.
The story so far
How we ended up in Malmo? After Loreen's victorious participation with 'Tattoo' marking Sweden 7th victory, the contest returned to Malmo city after 11 years. A total of 37 countries confirmed to take part in the 68th edition of the contest under the slogan of 'United by Music'.
Semi-final One show
From the 37 participating coutries the moemnt of truth for the first 15 countries has come with the first semi-final live show this evening. The rest 16 coutries will compete in the Semi-final 2 on Thursday while the Big-5 countries ( Germany, Italy, Spain, France and the United Kingdom) along with the hosting nation Sweden have pre-qualified for the Grand final.
The Live Semi-Final One Show will be hosted by Pedra Mede and Malin Åkerman. The 15 competing entries to take the stage this evening will compete in the following running order:

- Serbia – Teya Dora – “Ramonda”
- Lithuania – Silvester Belt – “Luktelk”
- Ireland – Bambie Thug – “Doomsday Blue”
- Ukraine – Alyona Alyona and Jerry Heil – “Teresa & Maria”
- Poland – Luna – “The Tower”
- Croatia – Baby Lasagna – “Rim Tim Tagi Dim”
- Iceland – Hera Björk – “Scared of Heights”
- Slovenia – Raiven – “Veronika”
- Finland – Windows95man – “No Rules!”
- Moldova – Natalia Barbu – “In the Middle”
- Azerbaijan – Fahree feat. Ilkin Dovlatov – “Özünlə apar”
- Australia – Electric Fields – “One Milkali (One Blood)”
- Portugal – Iolanda – “Grito”
- Luxembourg – Tali – “Fighter”
Notably the two of the Big-5 countries Germany and the UK and the hosting nationl Sweden will perform live on stage tonight their performances a change that has been introduced in this year's edition. Specifically, The United Kingdom will perform between the acts 4 and 5, Germany will appear on stage between the acts 8 and 9, while Sweden will deliver their entry between the acts 11 and 12.
Interval Acts
The viewers are about to watch a spectacular interval act show! Iconic Eurovision stars from the more recent years have been confirmed for the interval act to open the show called 'United by Music'. Namely Sweden's representative back in 2011 Eric Saade with the song 'Popular', 2018's runner up Eleni Foureira singing 'Fuego' for Cyprus and the Spanish entrant in 2022 in Turin Chanel with her song 'SloMo' which finished 3rd, will be gracing the stage during the semi-final one.
In addition legendary Johnny Logan, the Irish twice winner of the contest, in 1981 and 1987 is returning on the Eurovision stage this time as Inrerval act during the Semi-final one show. Johnny Logan will be delivering on stage the Swedish winning song of 2012, Loreen's 'Euphoria'.
Also Swedish Eurovision 2028 representative, Benjamim Ingrosso, will grace also the stage with his own interval performance after the competing part of the show.
The Results
The outcome of the semi-final one will be determined exclusively by public voting. Viewers from tonight’s participating countries are eligible to cast their votes. In addition, viewers from the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden and the Rest of the World will also be able to vote in the first semi-final.
In this year's edition the EBU is implementing a different voting process. The viewers will be able to vote not after the end of the last performance, but will be able to cast their votes from the beginning of the show.
Rest of the World Voting
Int this year's edition the Rest of the World fans will have a say in the outcome of the show. In order to sychronize the different time zones, the Rest of the World online vote will open from the end of the Jury Show the previous evening from the live show. The vote will be open until the end of the voting window during the live broadcast of Semi-Final One.
Fans from non participating countries will have the chance to cast their votes once the prewatch a clip of all of the cometing entries. Voting will cost 0.99 Euro per vote and can be carried out at www.esc.vote.

The Semi-Final One Live show is set to hit the screen at 21:00 CEST. You can watch the show streamed live on the official Eurovision Youttube Channel and through the participating broadcasters.
