Tonight: The semi-final show of Junior Eurovision Éire 2022

This evening the Irish national selection for Junior Eurovision 2022 is progressing to the semifinals of Junior Eurovision Éire 2022.
Following four qualifyimg heats the previous weeks the Irish selection for Junior Eurovision 2022 is reaching tonight the semifinals in which 8 competing acts will perform and battle for three spots that lead to next week's final show. The show is hosted by Louise Cantillon accompanied by Darragh Ó Caoimh.
Namely the acts that form the semi-final line up are:
- Lara Gleeson
- Clare Keeley
- Amber Dawes
- Marley-Peig Leonard
- Niamh Noade
- Caillín Joe McDonald
- Sophie Lennon
- Phoebe McIvor
In the semi-final all competing acts will take the stage one time with two of them qualifying directly to the final while the next two will go in a sing-off duel in order to determine the third and last finalist.
Like previous year's a panel of judges includes two permanent jurors while the third spot is filled in by a guest judge every week. Namely, the two permanent jurors are:
- Niamh Ní Chróinín – Host of TG4 youth programming Cúla4, headof Irish-language radio station Raidió Rí-Rá for young people
- Chris Greene – RTÉ 2fm host
In this semifinal show the third judge's seat was filled in by Brooke who represented Ireland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 in Turin, Italy.
Following tonight's semifinal show and once all three finalists are determined the lines will open and the public will be the one to determine this year's Irish Junior Eurovision hopeful.
