  • Sanremo Festival 2022 progresses this evening to the second show with the second set of participants taking the stage at Teatro Ariston.

    Following the first night's show and the first results, tonight Sanremo festival move on to its second night during which the rest 13 acts will take the stage for the first performance of their songs. 

     

    The 2022 edition

    Twenty-five artists will compete in the 72nd edition of Sanremo with twenty-five unpublished songs and a renewed voting mechanism with three independent juries for accredited journalists in the first two evenings (print, Radio and TV, Web) and the debut of the “Demoscopic 1000” jury, that will determine along with televoting the final outcome. 

    Out of the 25 contestants, 22 have been invited by the artistic director, Amadeus, whilst the last 3 have came out of the Sanremo Giovani festival. From Tuesday 1 February live on Rai1, RaiPlay and Radio2 - the festival will unfold without any eliminations reaching the final night on February 5, during which the winner will be delcared. 

    In addition, the special evening of the Covers returns on Friday 4 February, during which the artists will perform - alone or with a guest agreed with Rai and with the Artistic Direction - a piece that can be taken not only from the Italian repertoire, but also from the international one of the 60 ', 70' or 80 '.

     

    Second night's show

    Sanremo Festival 2022 is set to unfold over five nights from February 1 to February 5, 2022. For each show Amadeus will have on his side one more act to co-host the show. Tonight he will he conducting the show alongside with Lorena Cesarini.

    This evening the rest 13 acts to take the stage to perform their entries for the first time are:

    • Elisa – O forse sei tu
    • Emma – Ogni volta è così
    • Fabrizio Moro – Sei tu
    • Giovanni Truppi – Tuo padre, mia madre, Lucia
    • Highsnob e Hu – Abbi cura di te
    • Irama – Ovunque sarai
    • Iva Zanicchi – Voglio amarti
    • Le Vibrazioni – Tantissimo
    • Matteo Romano – Virale
    • Sangiovanni – Farfalle
    • Tananai – Sesso occasionale

     

    In addtion, Checco Zalone and Ermal Meta (Italian ESC 2018 representative with Fabrizio Moro) will be featuring the second night's show as guest stars. 

     

    Second evening's voting process

    According to the new voting system, during the first two evenings the results will be influenced by the three bodies, Jury of the Press Room & TV, Radio and Web jury with the first two having a 34% contribution to the result and the Radio and Web with a  33% share. After the vote, a ranking of the 13 songs / artists performed in each of the two evenings will be drawn up taking into account the first evening's ranking.
