Tonight: Watch the Second Semi- Final of Söngvakeppnin 2023

• The Icelandic national selection for Eurovision 2023 continues this evening with the second semi final of Söngvakeppnin 2023.

  A special committee shorlisted 10 entries out of 132 songs that are competing in the national selection, which will consist of two semifinals and one grand final show. Five acts compete in each semi final heat with the public voting to determine two qualifiers from each semi final.

   

   

  In addition the jury will choose one more entry to advance to the final show from the non-qualifiers of the semifinals. 

  The second set of five contestants to compete in this evening's 2nd semi final show are: 

  1. Kristín Sesselja – Óbyggðir 
  2. Langi Seli og Skuggarnir – OK
  3. Silja Rós & Kjalar – Ég styð þína braut 
  4.  Úlfar – Betri maður 
  5. Sigga Ózk – Gleyma þér og dansa 

  In both semi-finals competing entries must be performed in Icelandic but in the Grand- Final the song can be in any language they want as well. Hosts of the night are the musician Unnsteinn Manuel Stefánsson, tv presenter Ragnhildur Steinunn Jónsdóttir plus radio producer and music director of RÚV's Channel 2 Sigurður Þorri Gunnarsson.
