Ukraine: Alina Pash selected for Eurovision 2022 with the song “Tini zabutykh predkiv”

Alina Pash will the fly the flag for Ukraine at Eurovision 2022 after winning the national final 'Vidbir 2022' performing the song “Tini zabutykh predkiv” (Shadows of forgotten ancestors).
Responsible for the production of the show will be this year, Friends Pro TV, which are taking over from STB who were in charge since the first edition of the selection in 2016. Friends Pro TV will be taking care of the on-tape live performance and the staging in Turin.
The show was hosted by Maria Efrosinina, who was one of the Eurovision 2005 hosts, while Timur Miroshnychenko, who co-hosted Junior Eurovision 2009, Junior Eurovision 2013 and Eurovision 2017 and has been thw Ukrainian Eurovision commentator for several years, was in the Green Room.
GO_A alongside jury members Jamala and Tina Karol performed on staged, while the show featured Ukraine's recent Junior Eurovision representatives: Darina Krasnovetska, Sophy Ivy, Oleksandr Balabanov and Olena Usenko.
A total of eight contestants competed this evening for the right to represent Ukraine at Eurovision 2022. Namely, the acts we saw take the stage were:
1. Cloudless – “All be alright”
2. Michael Soul – “Demons”
3. Our Atlantic – “Moya lyubov” (My love)
4. Barleben – “Hear My Words”
5. Kalush Orchestra – “Stefania”
6. Roxolana – “GIRLZZZZ”
7. Wellboy – “Nozzy Bossy”
8. Alina Pash – “Tini zabutykh predkiv” (Shadows of forgotten ancestors)
The outcome of the national final was determined by a combination of jury and public voting. The jury consisted of three members:
- Tina Karol – Urkainian Eurovision 2006 act
- Yaroslav Lodygin – UA:PBC producer
- Jamala – Eurovision 2016 winner for Ukraine

A few words for Alina Pash
Alina Ivanivna Pash was born on May 6, 1993 in Bushtyno , Zakarpattia Region , Ukraine. She is a Ukrainian singer, rapper, and finalist of the sixth season of the X-Factor vocal show .
She studied at Bushtyn Secondary School and Art School, had private vocal lessons in Uzhhorod .From the age of 13 she took part in vocal festivals: "Young Galicia" , "Christmas Star", "Bukovinian Star", "Children's Eurostar", "Rainbow on the Tisza", "Crystal Clusters", "Crystal Clusters", "Crimean Waves", etc. .In the 11th grade of the school she took part in the program "Karaoke on the square".
In 2015 she took part in the musical talent show "X-Factor" , where she took third place. In 2017 she graduated from the Kyiv Academy of Pop and Circus Arts with a master's degree.
On April 15, 2018, she presented her debut single "Bitanga" (Ukrainian "Bitanga") and a video for it, while On September 18, she released her second single called "Oinagori".
In the spring of 2021, an album was released, which was created during folk expeditions in the Hutsul region, which Alina Pash and her team traveled to in 2020. In December 2021, the mini-album "Norov" was released, where ethnicity is intertwined with the beats and atmosphere of R&B.
