#EurovisionAgain: Charlotte Perrelli wins for Sweden the online voting of the 1999 edition
Sunday, 19 July 2020

  • #Eurovision Again has given the chance to all Eurovision fans to watch once again past editions of the Eurovision Song Contests and feel the joy and excitement of the contest without any interruptions. Last Saturday night #EurovisionAgain was back with the 1999 edition hitting our screens once again, on the ESC Youtube Channel followed by an online voting that crowned Charlotte Perrelli from Sweden winner of that year's edition with her song 'Take me to your heaven'.

The first to launch such initiative, was a group of fans that uploaded past events, while EBU followed through its official Eurovision Youtube Channel. Once the competing part of the contest is over, the audience has the chance to cast its votes and make up a new result for each edition. From last Saturday night the rebroadcasting of past edition will go on monthly bases then every week.

The results of the online voting that followed the rebroadcast confirmed Sweden's act as the winner but with a smaller lead in points. Second came Iceland followed by Croatia and Germany in 3rd and 4th place respectively. The top 5 closed with the Netherlands.

Check out below the overall scoreboard of the online voting:
