  • The Eurovision 2019 winner, Duncan Laurence, has entered the US Billboard Hot 100 at position #100 with his entry "Arcade".

    The ESC 2021 Dutch organisers, The Netherlands and eurovision fans across the globe have a reason to be happy for, as the Eurovision 2019 winner Duncan Laurence has entered the the US Billboard Hot 100 as his song "Arcade" debuted in the chart at position #100. 

    Duncan is making history as this achievement marks the first time in this centrury that a Eurovision entry enters the US Billboard Hot 100. Last time this happened was back in back in 1996 the United Kingdom's entry, ‘Ooh Aah… Just a Little Bit‘ performed by Gina G,  charted at No.12.

    Duncan is riding the wave of success this time on the other side of the Altantic. After storming Tel Aviv and bringing the Eurovision trophy to the Netherlands after 44 years his entry has gone viral on social media app TikTok and met massive acceptance across the globe while in January, ‘Arcade’ became the most streamed Eurovision song on Spotify, surpassing Mahmood’s ‘Soldi’..

    These days Duncan following his new version of 'Arcade' featuring Fletcher, has been making several apperances in the United States with  the most oustanding ones,  his performance on "The Today Show" and "The Ellen DeGeneres Show".

    With the 65th edition of the Eurovision Song Contest just around the corner, the Dutch organisers are in full steam working around the clock in order to be ready to welcome along with Duncan on home soil the 39 delegations. Duncan will be part of the contest in Rotterdam and is confirmed to feature  the first semi final and grand final live shows

     

    Duncan Laurence in Eurovision 

    In 2019 Duncan Laurence was internally selected by the Dutch broadcaster, AVROTROS, to represent The Netherlands at Eurovision 2019 in Tel Aviv,with the song ‘Arcade’. The Netherlands received a total of 498 points, with 261 points from the public and 237 points from the professional juries confirming the bookies that wanted Duncan winner from the day his song was released.
