Bulgaria: Victoria calls for fans' contribution in selecting her Eurovision 2021 entry

  • Following the release of her six potential Eurovision 2021 entries, Victoria is calling for fans' contribution in selecting one of the six candidate songs. 

    Team Bulgaria launches Bulgaria2021.com to seeks your feedback about VICTORIA’s potential songs for the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. The online platform is now live and music fans all over the world can share their comments about the 6 potential songs of Bulgaria and help VICTORIA and her team with their final decision for Rotterdam.

    In the past 5 days, VICTORIA released the songs in considering for the contest exclusively via her YouTube channel and eurovision.icard.com.Ugly Cry was released in November 2020, while “Imaginary Friend", "Dive into Unknown", "Phantom Pain" , "The Funeral Song"   and "Growing is Getting Older"   followed this week on daily basis., all of  them potential songs that will be part of her first EP “a little dramatic”

    The final choice is in the hands of VICTORIA and her team, but they want to hear the honest feedback about the songs from Eurovision fans around the world. Every comment will arrive directly to VICTORIA and Team Bulgaria. The platform Bulgaria2021.com will collect feedback until 1 March.

    VICTORIA's participation at Eurovision 2021 in Rotterdam is supported by the fintech company iCard - official sponsor of the Eurovision Bulgaria project. The Bulgarian participation is a public–private partnership between the BNT and Ligna Group. 

    The Eurovision Song Contest 2021 will take place on 18, 20 and 22 May in Rotterdam. Bulgaria will compete in the second semi-final on 20 May.

     

    Bulgaria in Eurovision 

    Bulgaria debuted in ESC in 2005 in Kiev. The Balkan country has already 12 participations in the contest and has made it to the Grand Final show only 3 times. in 2007 represented by Elitsa and Stoyan (5th place), in 2016 it was Poli Genova (4th place) and in 2017 Kristian Kostov was the runner up.

    Bulgaria’s last participation, after 2019 withdrawal, was in 2018 with Equinox and their entry “Boneswhich finished 14th in the Grand final.

    Last year Victoria Georgieva was selected by BNT to represent the country at Eurovision 2020 with her song “Tears Getting Sober”. Although Victoria’s Eurovision 2020 journey was interrupted by the cancellation due to the covid-19 outbreak, the female act will have a second chance to represent the country next year as BNT confirmed that it will stick with its ESC 2020 hopeful.
