Portugal: Festival da Canção 2022 Second Semi-final results; Grand final line-up completed

  • The second and last set of five finalists of the Portuguese national selection for Eurovision 2022 have been determined with the 2nd semi final show of Festival da Canção 2022.

    Portugal is using once again its tradional national selection format of Festival da Canção which is running for its 56th edition. A total of 20 composers are behind the competing entries of Festival da Canção 2022. From those 16 were invited directly by RTP while the rest four were selected by the public submissions.

    Following the last Saturday's 1st semi final show, the 2nd semi final show took place in RTP studios in Lisbon and was hosted by Sónia Araújo and Jorge Gabriel.

    A total of 10 acts competed in the 2nd semi final heat in the following running order: 

     

    1. Os Azeitonas – Solta a voz e canta

     

    2. Cubita – Uma mensagem tua

     

    3. Inês Homem de Melo – Fome de viagem

     

    4. SYRO – Ainda nos temos

     

    5. Pepperoni Passion – Código 30

     

    6. Milhanas – Corpo de mulher

     

    7. O Vampiro Submarino – Ao lado de mim

     

    8. Jonas – Pontas soltas

     

    9. Blacci – Mar no fim

     

    10. Pongo & Tristany – Dégrá.dê

     
    The results
     
    A combination of jury and public voting ( 50% share each) determined which five acts qualified to the Grand final of Festival da Canção 2022 . Namely those are: 
    • Milhanas – Corpo de mulher
    • SYRO – Aida nos temos
    • Inês homem de melo – Fome de viagem
    • Pongo e Tristany – Dégrá.dê
    • Pepperoni Passion – Código 30

     

    With the second final the line-up for the Grand final show set to take place next Saturday March 13, 2022 has been completed. Thus the 10 acts that will compete for the ticket to Turin are: 

    • Os Quatro e Meia – Amanhã
    • Aurea – Why?
    • FF – Como É Bom Esperar Alguém
    • Diana Castro – Ginger Ale
    • MARO – Saudade, saudade
    • Milhanas – Corpo de mulher
    • SYRO – Aida nos temos
    • Inês homem de melo – Fome de viagem
    • Pongo e Tristany – Dégrá.dê
    • Pepperoni Passion – Código 30
