Serbia: Luke Black selected for Eurovision 2023

• Luke Black will be defending the Serbian colors at Eurovision 2023 in Liverpool after winning the national final of Pesma za Evroviziju 23 singing “Samo mi se spava”.

  A total of 32 acts are took part in this year's national selection in Serbia, which consisted of two semi finals on March 1 & 2 and a grand final show on March 4. 

  Following the 1st semi-final round and the 2nd semi-final  that took place earlier this week in the RTS studios in Košutnjak, Belgrade,  the Serbian selection for Eurovision 2023 concluded this evening with the final show of Pesma za Evroviziju 23.

  Milan Marić and Dragana Kosjerina were the main hosts of the show while Kristina Radenković and Stefan Popović were located in the green room providing us feedback from the contestants. 

  A total of 16 contestants were in the race tonight for representing Serbia at Eurovision 2023. The competing act were: 

  1. Stefan Shy – “Od jastuka do jastuka”
  2. Boris Subotić – “Nedostupan”
  3. Nadia – “Devojka tvog dečka”
  4. Duo Grand – “Viva la Vida”
  5. Nađa – “Moj prvi ožiljak na duši”
  6. Frajle – “Neka Neka”
  7. Hurricane – “Zumi zimi zami”
  8. CHEGI & Braća Bluz Bend – “Svadba ili kavga”
  9. Dzipsii – “Greh”
  10. Luke Black – “Samo mi se spava”
  11. Filip Baloš – “Novi plan drugi san”
  12. Princ – “Cvet sa Istoka”
  13. Filarri – “Posle mene”
  14. Gift – “Liberta”
  15. Empathy Soul Project – “Indigo”
  16. Zejna – “Rumba”

  Public voting and jury voting contributed by 50% each to the final outcome of the show.

   

  Jury results

  Jury voting brought in first place Nađa with  “Moj prvi ožiljak na duši” while Luke Black followed and Filip Baros came third. Here are the jury points awared tonight:

  Televoting results and overall result

  Following the jury points the results from the televoting were added in bringing Luke Black and his song Samo mi se spava” in first place with a total of 20 points and second two points behind Princ with “Cvet sa Istoka” while Nađa with  “Moj prvi ožiljak na duši” finished 3rd. 
  

  

   

  A few words for Luke Black

  Luka Ivanović, born 18 May 199, better known by his stage name Luke Black, is a Serbian singer-songwriter, producer and performer. 

  Luke Black was born in Čačak, Serbia, and he has been making original music for over 12 years. During this time he recorded 7 full-length DIY albums – which were never heard by anyone except for his closest friends. Craving a more turbulent life he moved to Belgrade, where he started studying English language and literature

  In early 2015 he signed a recording deal with Universal Music Group, became the first solo artist from Serbia to have an exclusive contract with this worldwide music corporation. His debut single D Generation was released along with a music video in February 2015.D-Generation and another single Holding on to Love is included in Luke's first Extended play Thorns, released on 18 September 2015. 

  Luke Black has the rare privilege to be the only artist from this part of Europe who was featured on a global Instagram platform @music, alongside international mainstream stars like Miley Cyrus, Drake, Foo Fighters, 50 Cent, and many others.
