  • Eurovision 2021 winners, Måneskin from Italy, join forces with the internationally acclaimed American rock star Iggy Pop in their new version of their super hit “I Wanna Be Your Slave”.

     Following their firsr peaks in the digital platforms (SpotifyYoutube)  and their debut in the Billboard charts , their ongoing success story  with additional songs, Måneskin's path of glory continues a new outstanding collaboration with one of the most known American rock stars, Iggy Pop! 

    Iggy Pop, is an American musician, singer, lyricist, record producer and actor. Designated the "Godfather of Punk", he was the vocalist and lyricist of influential proto-punk band The Stooges, who were formed in 1967 and have disbanded and reunited multiple times since.

    The Italian rock band has released a new version of their worldwide super hit “I Wanna Be Your Slave”, in which they team up with Iggy Pop. “I Wanna Be Your Slave” is one of the tracks in Måneskin’s  second studio album Teatro d’ira: Vol. I.  and has met massive success climbing the charts in several countries. The song has has reached Number 1 in Finland and Slovakia, hit #3 in Germany, #5 in the UK, and #7 in Italy. The same time it has achieved to peak at #8 position in the Billboard Global Excl. US and #13 on the Billboard Global Chart.

    The new version of the song is pretty much the same as the original one with the addition of Iggy Pop's voice at some points which replace Damiano's voice.

    A few words for Maneskin 

    The group, made up of four young Romans, was born in 2015 by bassist Victoria De Angelis and guitarist Thomas Raggi, who was later joined by singer Damiano David and finally drummer Ethan Torchio.

    They rose to prominence in 2017 thanks to second place at X-Factor, and since then they have strung together one success after another. The meaning of the group's name means "Moonlight" in Danish, a nation of which bassist and founder Victoria is a native. The goups itself has many time talked warmly of Eurovision and a potential participation in the world largest televised music contest.

    As young as they may be, Måneskin have already trod several European stages in “The dance of life Tour” performing in Spain, France, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany and the United Kingdom.

    Beginners in Sanremo, they won as outsiders with their "Zitti e buoni" which met with the favor of the press and televoting inaugurating the first victory of an alternative rock song at the iconic Italian Festival.

    The Italian band have been dominating the charts worldwide after their victory last May in Rotterdam, where they won the Eurovision trophy with a total of 524 points in the overall score.
